Poen de Wijs (1948-2014) is one of the great Dutch contemporary painters of Modern Realism of the 20^th Century. In the seventieths and eighties he made a great impression with his nude paintings, that were sold all over the world. The Biblical “Song of Songs”- a universal and romantic combination of love and eroticism - was the main inspiration for all of these works.
