Poen de Wijs (1948) is one of the best-known painters of Modern Realism in the Netherlands. More than twenty books were published about his artwork, fourteen of which were digital books, as well as various filmed documentaries and video clips. Many children figure in his later artworks. The Vijlbrief Collectie decided to ask the painter of Modern Realism to make a children's book out of it. With some video clips. A multimedia book package for children to bring them into contact with art - accessible for their age - from an early age. That Poen de Wijs has succeeded in this proves "THE BIG CHILD FESTIVAL".

For whom is the big child party?
This Multimedia Book is suitable for children between 4 and 8 years. The story is about his daughter Sarah, who organizes a big party for children from all over the world. The multimedia book package contains video clips, dozens of images and short texts. At the end of the digital book, an EXTRA is inserted: a video clip in which children have a look at the artist's studio so they can see how the most important children's painting ‘Children Globe’ was made for this book.

HET GROTE KINDERFEEST
Poen de Wijs (1948-2014) behoort tot de bekende kunstschilders van het Modern Realisme in Nederland. Over zijn werk werden meer dan twintig boeken gepubliceerd, waarvan veertien in digitale versie, evenals diverse gefilmde documentaires en videoclips.

In zijn schilderijen figureren veel kinderen. Vijlbrief Multimedia Books besloot hem te vragen daar een kinderboek van samen te stellen. Een multimediaboekpakket vóór kinderen om hen al jong met kunst – toegankelijk voor hun leeftijd – in aanraking te brengen. Dat Poen de Wijs daar volledig in is geslaagd bewijst “HET GROTE KINDERFEEST”.

VOOR WIE?
Dit multimediaboek is geschikt voor kinderen tussen 4 en 8 jaar. Het verhaal gaat over zijn dochter Sarah, die een feest voor kinderen uit de hele wereld organiseert. Het multimedia boekpakket bevat enkele videoclips, tientallen afbeeldingen en korte teksten. Aan het eind van het boek is een EXTRA ingevoegd: een videoclip waarin kinderen een blik werpen in het atelier van de kunstenaar en kunnen zij zien hoe het belangrijkste kinderschilderij uit dit interactieve multimedia boekpakket, ‘Kinderglobe’ werd gemaakt.
