Poen de Wijs (1948-2014) behoort tot een van de grote Nederlandse kunstschilders van het Modern Realisme van de 20-ste eeuw. In de zeventiger- en tachtiger jaren van de vorige eeuw maakte hij grote indruk met zijn ‘naakten’ die over de hele wereld werden verkocht. Het Bijbelse ‘Hooglied’, een universele en romantische combinatie van liefde en erotiek, was zijn belangrijkste inspiratie voor al deze artisiteke werkstukken die vooral uit aquarellen bestond.

In dit digitale boek vindt U een unieke en complete selectie van zijn naakten. Poen overleed aan kanker in 2014. De Vijlbrief Collectie beheert de kunstcollectie en levert litho’s en kunstdrukken (hoogwaardige gicléeprints) van al zijn werk.

Poen de Wijs (1948-2014) is regarded as one of the great Dutch artists of Modern Realism in the 20th century. In the 1970s and 1980s, he made a significant impression with his ‘nudes,’ which were sold worldwide. The Biblical ‘Song of Solomon,’ a universal and romantic combination of love and eroticism, was his primary inspiration for all these artistic works, which consisted mainly of watercolours.

In this digital book, you will find a unique and complete selection of his nudes. Poen passed away from cancer in 2014. The Vijlbrief Collection manages the art collection and provides lithographs and art prints (high-quality giclée prints) of all his work.
