Samenwerking met Marion van Nieuwpoort
De digitale boekenserie ‘Inside the studio of Poen de Wijs’ zou niet compleet zijn zonder een digitaal boek over zijn samenwerking met Marion van Nieuwpoort. Marion en hij waren 35 jaar lang elkaars levenspartners. Marion stierf in 2008  aan kanker. 

Haar schilderstijl was totaal anders dan die van Poen en toch bleek het mogelijk voor hen om samen te schilderen, zelfs op één canvas! In dit boek beschrijft hij die bijzondere, artistieke samenwerking, maar vooral laat hij Marions kleurrijke werk zien en licht hij dit toe.

Poen de Wijs behoort tot een van de grote kunstschilders van het Modern Realisme van de 20-ste eeuw.

The digital book series ‘Inside the Studio of Poen de Wijs’ would not be complete without a digital book about his collaboration with Marion van Nieuwpoort. Marion and he were life partners for 35 years. Marion passed away in 2008 from cancer.

Her painting style was completely different from Poen’s, yet it turned out to be possible for them to paint together, even on one canvas! In this book, he describes that unique artistic collaboration, but above all, he showcases Marion’s colorful work and explains it.

Poen de Wijs is considered one of the great painters of Modern Realism in the 20th century.
